Uttarakhand govt paid Rs 47 lakh to virat kohli from flood fund,claims RTI:

Just days ahead of the announcement of assembly poll result on March 11,the harish Rawat government in uttarakhand has landed itself in yet another controversy.

According to a times of india report,an RTI reply sought by an activist who is also a BJP member has said that the uttarakhand government had paid Indian cricket Virat kohli a sum of rs 47.19 lakh in june 2015 from fund allocated for victims of the deadly 2013 kedarnath flood for appearing in a 60-second tourism video.

At that time ,kohli was roped in as the brand ambassador for the state of uttarakhand.

However,bunty sajed ,kohli's agent and founder & CEO,cornerstone sport and entertainment,claimed that"there has been no monetary transaction whatsoever."
